Zhang Chu (张楚; pinyin: Zhāng Chǔ) (born 1968) is a Chinese musician who was born in Xi'an, China.

History
Born in October 1968, Zhang Chu leaves home for the first time when he'd been 10 years old. he entered the Shaanxi Machine Institute at the age of 17, but left the school halfway through. He went to Beijing in 1987 and produced several records in 1988.
In 1992, his most famous song "Sister" (Jie Jie) is included in the compilation CD "Chinese Fire". The year after Zhang Chu signs a contract with the "Demon Rock Culture" company (translation of the company propably wrong). Thereafter he joined in July, 18th-19th, the large-scale concert "奥運-中国之夢" in the Beijing capital gymnasium.
In 1994, his second record "Loners Are Disgraceful" is released and simultaneously the same label sells this album with a notation to the "Magic 3" (Dou Wei, Zhang Chu, He Yong).
In 1997, his third album "Aeroplane Factory" is released and in addition one song of his is included in a Taiwan movie.
On August 30th, 1998, Zhang Chu joined the performance of the "'98 Nanjing China Rock Concert".
