History

Legendary Chinese indie band The Swamp, is certainly of China’s most accomplished acts. Featured in the 33rd annual Hong Kong Arts Festival as the only representative band from mainland China, The Swamp’s melancholic and fragilely beautiful mix of progressive rock, post-rock and electronic music’s best qualities has been one of the inspirational stories of China’s independent music scene.

In the eternally youthful spirit of DIY independence, The Swamp have been writing, arranging, recording and booking their own shows since 2001, and have continued this level of involvement since being signed to Hong Kong’s illustrious 89868 Recorder label in 2003. Not to be missed, The Swamp is as ahead of the pack as always with their release of their two new CDs named Swamp and City.

In October 2005, they performed during the Midi Music Festival 2005.

May 1st-4th, 2006, they performed during the Midi Music Festival 2006.
