Oxygen Can, (液氧罐头 Ye Yang Guan Tou), Beijing based New Metal, Hardcore, Industrial Noise, Techno band
English name under interpretation. The band recently calls itself Liquid Oxygen Tin.
History
Ye Yuan Guan Tou was formed in Beijing in July 2000 with Shiyou Liu as mastermind. Though the lineup changed various times, most of the members graduated from the Beijing Midi Modern Music school. Playing metal and hardcore, Oxygen Can also mixes industrial noise and techno into their music...
In May 2001 Oxygen Can performed in the Midi Modern Music Festival 2001.
In Fall 2001 the band disbanded and Shiyou Liu went abroad to study in Ireland.
In 2002 the band reformed and they joined the Midi Modern Music Festival 2002.
In February 2003 one song of Ye Yuan Guan Tou was included in the magazine "So Rock!" issue #17 and in August another song was included in the "Tong Su Ge Qu" magazine issue #251.
October 20th Oxygen Can played at the Sichuan music institute for popular music in Chengdu. Afterwards they sold the live VCD of this show.
June 2004 another live VCD was produced of a show in Heilungjiang.
In October 2005, they performed during the Midi Music Festival 2005.
