The band was founded by Kasasis in Chengdu.

In 2002 Darkness over Depth made a contract with Keysmet. In November the same year their music becomes available on the internet.

At the end of the year 2002, the demo EP Darkness over Depth is produced.

In April 2003, the first album 深邃的黒暗 comes into sale.

In November 2004, they contribute one song for the compilation Dead Night I.
