History

In 1987 Black Panther is found by Li Tong and Guo Chuanlin (nickname: Guo Si). Guo Si aka Guo Chuanlin steps back as guitarist and becomes Hei Bao's manager.

Ding Wu leaves the band in 1988 and forms Tang Dynasty. Dou Wei and Luan Shu join the band.

In 1991 is Black Panther's debut album released in Taiwan and Hong Kong by Rock Records. In the same year Dou Wei leaves the band to start his solo career later on.

It takes until december 1992 until Black Panther's first CD is officially released in mainland China.

In 1993, Black Panther's second CD Spirit of Light is released.

In April 1994, Black Panther signs with JVC, who release 'Spirit of Light' in whole Asia.

In 1996, Black Panther's third album "No Right No Wrong" is released.

The fourth album "Can't Let Worries Have No Chance for Expression" is released 1998.

During a concert in Beijing's Olympic Stadium, Black Panther's first live album "Hurricane Fervour" is recorded in 1998 and released in 1998 as live album.

In 2000, Black Panther contributes the cover song Santa Maria for the"True Love Forever" compilation of Chinese rock.

The VCD to "Hurricane Fervour" is officially released in 2001.

In 2002, Black Panther signs with Beijing's Kirin Kid Productions.

Black Panther's fifth studio album is recorded in November 2003.
